We are so happy to have Neil Helm as our speaker on Sunday, November 19th.  Neil has blessed the Fellowship of the Inner Light and the Association for Research and Enlightenment for many years.  He is also an integral part of the International Association of Near-Death Studies. Neil is a friend, mentor, and teacher to many. We are glad that he is a part of our family and that we share this sojourn with Neil!

The subject of Neil’s talk on Sunday will be “The Role of Reincarnation”.  We open our hearts and minds to the message that Neil will bring.

Information from Neil Helm:

Neil Helm, Ph.D.(c)

My life changed profoundly when, at the age of five, I drowned in a hot springs in Central Montana resulting in a dramatic Near-Death-Experience (NDE). I have subsequently become a conference speaker, a journal article writer, and a researcher on NDEs.

I have enjoyed a long career in space and advanced communications research in corporate, government, and academic entities for over 40 years. From 1990 to 2008 I directed a space research center at the School of Engineering and Applied Science of The George Washington University.

For my humanitarian efforts that included seminal research and development of the satellite-based global disaster communications system and network and the global search and rescue system and network, both now operational, global systems credited with saving many thousands of lives every year, I was nominated in 1995 for the Nobel Peace Prize.

As Scholar-in-Residence, my goal is to conduct research, assist faculty and students with their research, and support students as they complete their Culminating Projects. I am also keenly interested in the field of transpersonal psychology, currently completing a Ph.D. at Sofia University (California) in this transformational discipline. My dissertation is titled: The Effects of Near-death Experiences on Religious and Spiritual Beliefs. I look forward to teaching transpersonal approaches in this dynamic field of psychology.
