The Master of the Wondrous Name – Throughout history, there have been sages, prophets, and miracle workers born to bring the spirit of the Living God to the people of a particular time and culture. Rabbi Israel, called the Baal Shem Tov, born in 1698 in the mountains of Poland, was one of these extraordinary beings. He traveled from town to town and taught the Jewish people through his life and mystical revelations of Kaballah that God lives in all of nature – in the rocks, the hills, the trees, the flowers. He taught that every living act should be accomplished through joy and ecstasy, and performed miracles through the expression of the Holy Name of God.
Sharon Solomon will tell the fascinating story of this Master of the Wondrous Name. The wife of Paul Solomon, Sharon has been a part of the Fellowship family for more than 40 years. She is currently chairman of the Pastoral Council of the Fellowship, recording secretary of its Board of Directors, and guide and facilitator of several Inner Light Consciousness classes.
