The Book of Revelation
Narrative: The Book of Revelation is that strange book that is found at the tail end of the Bible that in essence summarizes the teachings of the entire Bible … Describing the entire journey of our souls from Adam to Christ… from the Garden of Eden to the Holy City. The Revelation is said to be given by Jesus the Christ to John the Apostle by an angel during the last years of John’s life, when he was banished by the Roman authorities to the island of Patmos. The book is difficult to understand because it is filled with dreamlike imagery and symbology.
This Sunday Bruce will focus upon the meaning of the symbology and imagery presented to us in Chapter 12 which begins with the words “And and there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of 12 stars…”. Once understood, the symbology used throughout the Book of Revelation provide us with rich spiritual teachings that are applicable and highly relevant to our lives today.
Bruce first began attending services of the Fellowship of the Inner Light (FIL) in 1973 at the old Seahorse Inn. FIL has played an important role in his spiritual life and growth ever since. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors and is the Senior Pastor of the Fellowship. A retired Probation Officer and Counselor, he serves to help Fellowship members in need. As Music Minister, he keeps our Sunday Services vibrant and spirit filled. In addition, Bruce cares for the Fellowship’s buildings and grounds. What a guy! Welcome Bruce!
