We look forward to hearing Neil Helm as our speaker on Sunday, August the 5th. Neil has blessed this church many times with his wisdom and humor.
The title for his presentation on August 5th is “NDE Science and Spirituality”. For those unfamiliar with the letters, NDE, this stands for Near Death Experience.
Neil graduated with his PhD in Psychology on June 23rd from Sofia University in Palo Alto, CA. Sofia honored Neil at the graduation for being the oldest (79) Sofia graduate, for being a pioneer in the fields of astronautics and space communications, and for being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1995.
The nomination for humanitarian services was for his seminal research and development of the first space communications systems for Disaster Mitigation and Search & Rescue organizations. Dr. Helm’s systems are still in use today and are credited with saving tens of thousands of lives.
Neil is very active with the Virginia Beach Chapter of the International Association for Near Death Studies, where he serves on the Board of Directors. He is instrumental in bringing many wonderful speakers to this organization and to the Fellowship of the Inner Light. We open our hearts and minds to hear the inspired and insightful message that Neil will bring to us on Sunday.
