We are happy to announce that Levi Daugherty will be our speaker on Sunday, June the 1st. We open our hearts and minds to hear his message.  We have been so blessed  to have him sing at some of our services and events.  We look forward to his words of inspiration.
Bio of Speaker:Dr. Levy Daugherty has worked in ministry for nearly 70 years. He received the call as a child with a visitation from Jesus. His mother, who was herself a minister, understood his experience and encouraged him. He was allowed to preach his first sermon on David and Goliath at the age of seven.

As he grew into adulthood, he was active in youth ministry and gospel singing. However, his spirit was restless, and he was on a constant quest for higher truth. In 1975 he encountered “The Divine Principle” a channeled teaching from Jesus given to Rev. Sun Myung Moon. As he studied this new revelation many of his lifelong questions about the mysteries of the bible were answered for the first time. He decided to become a full-time missionary and spent the next five years living a monastic life of public service.

In 1979 he met his wife Claire who was also a missionary of the Divine Principle. They were married in 1982 and raised a large, blended family. He had custody of his 4 children from his first marriage and together they added five more to the brood. They now have a combined total of 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

For over 40 years Levy has been involved in interfaith work with clergy of every conceivable denomination. This work has brought him to every state and many foreign countries. He served as the executive director of the American Clergy Leadership Conference and helped to host countless conferences, seminars, prayer breakfasts, and overseas tours for clergy. In 1988 he was awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of his work in hosting educational seminars for 7,000 clergy and creating venues for dialogue between them.

Every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday he teaches a class for active clergy on unraveling many of the mysteries of the Bible. He and his wife Claire, now both in their 70s, remain active in their ministries and continue to go wherever they are called. They just returned from 2 weeks teaching in Alaska, and in 2023 have also visited upstate NY, Canada, Israel, and Germany on speaking tours.

In 2005 he established the Kingmaker Foundation a 501c3. His nonprofit is primarily focused on providing educational support for many of those who are disenfranchised. The Kingmaker has focused much of their work in Haiti partnering with local Haitian non-profits. Together they have created a library, regularly distribute school supplies, and a special shoe that “grows” by expanding up to 5 sizes. They support a women’s literacy center, a Moringa co-op, and a primary school.
They have established branches in Baltimore and South Carolina and will be expanding their work in Hampton Roads offering a variety of community services, especially those related to literacy.
