Bhagavad-Gita literally means “the Song of God.” It is the most sacred and widely read of all the ancient texts of India. In the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Sri Krishna (God) answers the warrior Arjuna’s (Man’s) questions about life, and how humans can live in such a way as to realize our divinity and our relationship to God. The Peace Formula is taken from the final verse of the fifth chapter of the text.

Drishta Das has been a member of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) since 1975. He is a disciple of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON. He also has a Master of Theological Studies from Southern Methodist University in Dallas where he did an interdisciplinary study of eastern religions and Christianty. Drishta Das and his wife, Rudrani Dasi, are outreach ministers for the Hare Krishna Temple in Hillsborough, NC (near Chapel Hill).

Over the years, Drishta Das has worked in the fields of education and social work, recently retiring from Wake County (Raleigh, NC) Human Services where he was a Senior Human Services Practitioner working with troubled youth and families facing crises.

We are sure to be inspired and educated from this wonderful sharing on Sunday.

Sunday Service begins at 10:45AM with a Pre-service Meditation at 10:30AM.
