Bruce Shelton, our Senior Pastor, will be our speaker on St. Francis Day.  Bruce serves as President of our Board of Directors, and he serves on the Pastoral Council.  Bruce has served this church in many ways for many years.  He also shares music and is the music coordinator.  He works with our building and grounds, and he schedules our Sunday Speakers.  Bruce is a licensed counselor and a retired probation officer.

From Bruce Shelton- On October 5, we celebrate Saint Francis Feast Day. Saint Francis is the Guardian Saint of all animals; he is renowned for his love of animals. So, on that date we will be honoring the animals of the world, both our domestic animals as well as animals free in nature.

In particular, we will consider the spiritual lessons that animals have to teach us. For example, animals live only in the now, the present moment. It’s only in the now that we as humans are able to connect with the center of our being, the Source of all life, and thereby experience our highest potential.
