Julie Hill will tell the story of her involvement with the Lost Boys of the Sudan, and the organization she formed, Outreach Africa.

Julie Hill was born in Hampton, Virginia. She has resided in Norfolk, Virginia for 30 years. She attended VCU in Richmond, VA where she took courses in African Cultural Anthropology. She graduated from University of MD with a BS Degree in Ornamental Horticulture. Along the way she also became a certified Medical Technologist and Cytologist (cancer screener).
Julie met the “Lost Boys and Girls of Sudan” in early 2002 in a chance meeting at her local grocery store in Ghent. She has been working for 20 years to help their South Sudanese refugee families, both here and in Africa.
She is creator and Executive Director of Outreach Africa: Lost Boys Foundation, an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization assisting South Sudanese refugee children in Africa with education, food and emergency medical care.
