This Sunday is Saint Francis Feast Day in which we bless the animals of the world. In 2009 Eckhart Tolle teamed up with “Mutts” cartoonist Patrick McDonnell and published a book entitled “Guardians of Being.”
This book masterfully presents to us the spiritual lessons that the animals of this world have to teach us, if we will but listen: Unconditional love, living in the present moment, non-judgement and much more. The teachings in this book, which will be presented in a slide presentation along with a dramatic reading, will be the focus of this service.

Bruce has served as a Minister of the Fellowship of the Inner Light since 1984, following his ordination by Paul Solomon. He currently serves in the role of Senior Pastor and head of the Board of Directors. Bruce is a retired Virginia Probation and Parole Officer. Since 2003 he has worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a specialty in addictions treatment. Bruce has always viewed his ministerial work at the FIL as a labor of love and as a wonderful opportunity to be of service to others. He is walking the Path.
