About Beatriz Amberman:
Beatriz Amberman has been advocating for Human Rights for more than 38 years in Virginia. She is Chair and Founding Member of the Virginia Coalition of Latino Organizations, dedicated to advocate for the rights of Latinos and immigrants. We work to educate, empower and secure equal treatment, opportunity, and representation for Latinos in Virginia.  Beatriz is also Vice Chair of The Virginia Latino Leaders Council, and Founder of the Hispanic Community Dialogue Organization of Hampton Roads, promoting civic participation and deliberation of issues impacting the community. Mrs. Amberman is a City Council appointed member to the Virginia Beach Human Rights Commission.

Mrs. Amberman served the Commonwealth of Virginia Latino Advisory Board (VLAB), appointed by three Virginia Governors: Mark Warner, Tim Kaine and Bob McDonnell. She was Chair from 2008 to 2009. Beatriz was a member of Governor Terry McAuliffe’s Latino Summit Organizing Committees from 2015 to 2017.
Mrs. Amberman served on The Advisory Council of the Institute of Mexicans Abroad, Mexican Embassy. Beatriz was selected in 2008 by more than 150 Mexican-American leaders from across the USA, to speak on their behalf before Mexican President Vicente Fox. Beatriz served as Executive National Vice President for the Mexican American Coalition, a national organization of more than 600 Mexican leaders from across the United States.
