Catherine Dumas, Executive Director of Human Kindness Foundation, will speak about spiritual transformation behind bars and the limitless capacity of the human spirit.

For more than 44 years, Human Kindness Foundation has been encouraging spiritual transformation, sending free books about interfaith spirituality to people who are incarcerated. Human Kindness Foundation’s newsletter goes out to 40,000 inmates across the country, and hundreds of free books are sent on request each week. HKF also responds to letters from 300-400 prisoners each week.
Catherine Dumas has been with HKF since 1992.
Catherine also teaches two mindfulness groups at North Carolina’s highest-security prison.

Human Kindness Foundation is a non-profit whose purpose is to encourage more kindness in the world.
Mission
The primary work of Human Kindness Foundation is the Prison-Ashram Project, which encourages inmates to use their time for focused spiritual growth.
