We are delighted to have Bruce Shelton as our speaker on Sunday, June 17th, which is Father’s Day. Bruce’s talk title is “Be Here Now” – Meet the Author.
Bruce is our Senior Pastor. He has served the Fellowship of the Inner Light for many years. He and his wife Martie are a wonderful part of our Fellowship Family.
Bruce serves on the Pastoral Council and he is the President of the Board of Directors of the church. Bruce is a retired Probation Officer who currently works as a licensed counselor. Bruce is also the music co-ordinator for our Sunday services. We are blessed with his voice and piano playing. We open our hearts and minds to receive Bruce’s message on Sunday.
In his talk Bruce will introduce the Fellowship community to Neem Kaoli Baba, referred to affectionately by many as Maharaji. Maharaji has played an important role in Bruce’s spiritual life dating back to the mid-70’s, helping him in his personal search for God.
In 1970, Ram Dass wrote the book “Be Here Now” which provided young people, the Baby Boomer generation, with the spiritual nurturance for which they were hungering. Ram Dass says the real author of the book was his Guru, Neem Karoli Baba. Come to Bruce’s talk and learn about the teachings of this great saint.
